Tribute to Robin Williams

Came across a post on Tumblr with screenshots and a quote from the movie 1 Hour Photo.
"And if these pictures have anything important to say to future generations, it's this: I was here. I existed. I was young, I was happy, and someone cared enough about me in this world to take my picture."
Figured I could squish one more movie reference into this pic with a Polaroid border.
I wasn't satisfied with the other border anyway, but this one feels much better.

Edited Batty's ears and hair and made a few other minor tweaks while I was at it too.
Now, I'm gonna try to stop thinking about it.

I was laying awake last night and my mind was wandering, and it's been on Robin a lot the past few days.
Not sure what made me think of it but I realized then that he had voiced my very first favorite character in my very first favorite movie.

I watched that movie so much when I was little (it came out when I was 2, not sure how old I was when I started forming memories of it). My favorite part was when Batty comes in, flying into every tree on his way. Hell, I still know a lot of that movie's lines by heart including the little Rap thing... Which is currently playing in my brain at the moment.
That movie was my childhood, not quite as much as Back to the Future or Parent Trap, but pretty darn close.

An idea for my personal tribute started forming. It wouldn't be as perfect as something I think he'd deserve but I wanted to make something anyway.

I added Genie's lamp, because I couldn't not.
Genie's lines were mostly improvised by Robin, and it was probably his most memorable role. Plus Genie was epic!

The hook is for the movie, Hook.
I know he played Peter, but the hook was an object that would be most memorable from the movie plus, It's the title. C'mon.

and the Priest's collar draped over the hook is for License to Wed.
Because it was the most recent movie I could think of off the top of my head that gave me a good ab workout lol.

I considered adding the date to the lamp with a piece of tape for Weapons of Self Destruction (Google the dvd cover) since I listened to his standup most often, but decided against it.
Plus, if I started adding everything I could from his roles, it'd get overcrowded.
Couldn't add his face either because I'm nowhere near that good. :/

Rest in Peace Robin.
We didn't know each other, but like so many others, I got to experience the joy and laughter you were known for.
I'm sorry you had to suffer with such a difficult disease to cope with. May you find happiness beyond here. <3
